Understanding branches and Org Mode
Triton is multi-branch from day one. Here's how to think about branches, and when to switch into Org Mode.
On this page
If you run a single gym, you can treat this as background reading — Triton will just work. But if you operate multiple locations, branches are how Triton keeps them sane.
Branches versus organization
Branch
A physical location. One gym. Its own address, hours, kiosk, instructors, members, and revenue.
Organization
The parent. Your "business". Contains one or more branches and centralizes shared resources: staff who work across locations, membership types, marketing campaigns, and reports.
Switching between branches
At the top of the sidebar there's a branch picker. Pick any branch you have access to and the whole app re-scopes: members list, calendar, inbox, reports.
Org Mode
Above the branch list is a special option: All Branches. Selecting it puts Triton into Org Mode — reports combine across branches, members and staff are searchable across every location, and Mentor can answer cross-branch questions.
When to use each mode
Use branch mode for operational work: check-ins, member questions, today's schedule, this week's revenue.
Use Org Mode when you're zoomed out: "how is location A doing versus B", hiring a new instructor who will teach at two sites, or reviewing consolidated financials.
