Creating vouchers and discount codes

Set up promo codes for sales, special cohorts, or partnerships — with redemption limits and expiry built in.

On this page

Vouchers are your discount codes — string-based codes a member types at checkout to get a price reduction, free trial, or class pass. They're also how you run time-limited campaigns without permanently changing your pricing.

Creating a voucher

Go to Marketing → Vouchers and click New Voucher. At minimum you'll configure:

Code

The string the member types. Keep it short and memorable: SUMMER25, MMA-FRIEND, JAN-FREE-WEEK.

Type

  • Percent off — e.g. 20% off first month.
  • Fixed amount off — e.g. A$50 off.
  • Free class pass — unlocks one free drop-in.
  • Free trial — extends the trial period.

Scope

Which products does this voucher apply to? All memberships, a specific membership, or retail only.

Limits

Max redemptions

Total number of uses across all members. 100 uses means the voucher auto-expires after 100 people redeem it.

Per-member limit

Usually 1 — a specific member can only use this code once. Useful for "first month free" codes where you don't want the same person using it with a fresh account.

Expiry

Hard date after which the code stops working. Members see "This code has expired" if they try to use it.

Redemption

At checkout

Every Triton checkout page has a "Have a code?" field. Members paste the code, Triton validates it in real time, and the price updates.

Retroactively

Staff can also apply a voucher to an existing invoice from the invoice detail page. Useful for forgot-to-apply situations.

Tracking performance

Each voucher's detail page shows: redemptions over time, revenue impact (gross and net of discount), and which members used it. The Marketing dashboard rolls this up across all active vouchers.

Partner and affiliate codes

A common pattern: give a local business a unique code (COFFEESHOP10) and offer their customers 10% off. You see exactly how many memberships came from that partnership.
